I'm most likely a bit late on this, but it seems that Tropicana caused some controversy with their new logo. Although recently unveiled, the logo got SERIOUSLY hated on by dozens of consumers (on blogs...naturally). Long story short, Tropicana is reverting to the old logo because everyone hated it so damn much. Of COURSE, not only are branding-nerds up in arms about this, but now all the social media fanatics are yelling about how this alllllll could have been avoided if Tropicana got clued in to 2009 and had a Facebook. Or a Twitter. And on the other hand, some think that in the age of tweets and facebook profiles we have been spoiled and led to think our opinion matters more than a million dollar graphic.
Regardless of your opinion, there is a nicely-done entry here about the whole ordeal.
While I was reading about this I saw that one user let a comment along the lines of, "do people really care this much about this? its orange juice, get a lie".
'Do people really care about this'?! Ohhhhh boy, sister...this is a whole lot more than orange juice.
